I, too, am very interested in the Fourth Gospel and did my doctoral work at Catholic University under Frank Moloney. I finished in 2007 and pastored my entire way through (2001 - 2009). My advice is to try your best to determine what types of questions your examiners might give you. Most importantly, will they be focused on small topics or broad topics. For instance, I was a bit thrown when my (3 hour) question was actually 8 questions in one and the first question asked me to provide a history of Christianity using Paul's letters. The final question then asked me to mention anyone in the 2nd and 3rd centuries who interacted with Paul. Now that was a broad question! Good luck, I passed mine about a year ago.
